Tank Paintball Battles

Tank Paintball Battles - With a huge grin on your face, you look through the periscope of your 17 tonne, FV432 armoured personnel carrier and spot the enemy. You shout out to your Load Master ‘Prepare to fire!’ He gets the artillery ready and starts to load it into the breach of the 40mm cannon. A drop of sweat rolls down your cheek as you know that this shot could mean life or death for you and your crew. As you pull the trigger, you bellow to your crew members ‘Fire in the hole!’ (You’ve always wanted to say that!) . Your ammo goes hurtling towards the enemy, it’s hit or miss now, there is no turning back, this is your last chance. Then…………SPLAT! A huge pink paint explosion on the opposition’s tank signifies a clean hit and victory for you and your team mates! Your 3 man crew start jumping for joy (making sure they watch their heads because tanks aren’t the tallest things in the world you know!). You’re a hero, the lord of war, the supremo. You will go back home to a hero’s welcome with the crowd chanting your name (or more than likely, just a drink in the local pub with a drunk stranger who is singing out your name and acts as if he knows you and you are best buddies). But hey, after all that excitement who wouldn’t want a nice quiet drink in your local!?

Phew……so after all of that suspense, let us explain to you the details of this superb action packed day out!

You take it in turns as part of a three-man crew to negotiate a tricky tank course set in a World War II bombing range. Your tank of choice will be a unique 17 tonne FV432 armoured personnel carrier, with specially modified cannons capable of firing 40mm paint rounds. Under the guidance of your on-board instructor you will get the opportunity to drive the tank, aim the cannon, load the breach and fire the air powered cannon. Cool!! Also to get you into your role as an artillery man (or woman!) you have to look the part, so you will be issued with radio headsets, Kevlar helmets, tank suits and gloves! Once you are able to successfully operate the tank, the hatches are closed and you are free to engage in full on armoured warfare against an opposing team using only your periscopes to guide you!

Now that’s our idea of fun!!

This experience is available on selected weekend and weekdays, from April to October.
