With the Trebuchet Kit you build a scaled model of the infamous Warwolf. Edward Is used this awesome siege machine during the battle at Stirling Castle in the 13th Century.

This Counter Balance Trebuchet was the most technologically advanced war machine of its day and could throw a 100kg stone ball over 300 metres to smash castle walls. Just the sight of the giant engine so intimidated the Scots during the siege at Stirling that they tried to surrender! Not that Edward granted them any mercy…he had a huge new toy to play with!

Build a working replica of the infamous Roman Ballista, the fore-runner of the crossbow. See how force is created by tensioning tendons (string) to fire missiles over long distances. This weapon was used extremely effectively in the Roman invasion of Britain to repel the Celtic hordes and over-run their hill forts.
